No one here in the big city will be returning to work tomorrow after lunch. Even the non-soccer fans will use the Spain/Portugal game as an excuse to start the weekend early.

We luv Cristiano Ronaldo because he bangs supermodels, donates blood, gives millions to charity & scores hat tricks against rivals.

The scores are in!

Game 1: Egypt vs. Uruguay

Our Day 2 game starts with continuing the Group A matches of Egypt vs. Uruguay. A whole lot of nothing occured throughout the first and second half of the game... until the extra time was called. Out of nowhere, Gimenez rushes in to score the first and only goal for Uruguay. The team goes nuts. Oscar "El Maestro" Tabarez rises from his seat, cane in hand, to celebrate his team's first (And hopefully not the last) World Cup victory. The game ends with 0 - 1.

Game 2: Morocco vs. Iran

An hour later we begin the Group B matches, starting off with Morocco vs. Iran. Like the previous match, a whole lot of nothing occured in the first and second half of the game. In the extra minutes of the match… in a blink of an eye, a goal was made. Did the Iranian team did it? NO! In fact, one of the Moroccan players accidentally headbutt onto the goaline. Iran takes the score, and immediately celebrates their first victory. What a great way to start Eid.

And finally, the most anticipated match of Group B: Portugal vs. Spain...

In four minutes, a clash led to a penalty kick made by the King of Div...er... Christiano Ronaldo. How will Spain, former three-time champions top that? In the first half of the game, Diego Costa, managed to kick his way onto the first goal. From that point forward, it turned into an intense game. With a strong ball possession from Spain, Portugal wasn't going to give up: They defended, they dove, they argued with refs, time and time again. A goal from Ronaldo was made, leading with 2 -1, ending the first half.

In the second half, the audience watches. The announcers asked themselves: "Donde esta Andres?" (Referring to the Spanish Captain, Andres Inestia). However, like Ronaldo, Diego Costa scored another goal for Spain. Another tie. It is anybody's game. Where will this match go? Though it's very early in the World Cup, this is a match that you see in the Finals! Suddenly, new team member, Nacho scored the third goal. Viva Espana! But, wait! Ronaldo isn't done yet, as he managed to score his hat trick two minutes before the 90-min mark. With five minutes extra, what will happen: Will the former champs take a fourth goal (With the substitutions of Inestia, Silva, and Diego Costa, it isn't likely), or will Portugal rely on their captain to take another kick to the goal line (He was running out of steam at that point, so, no). The match ends in a tie of 3 -3. We will certainly see both (or one) of them in the Round of 16.

Tomorrow's matches:

Australia vs. France
Argentina vs. Iceland
Peru vs. Denmark
Croatia vs. Nigeria

See you all at 6 AM Eastern.

Still happy with Bluehost (https://www.sfgate.com/market/article/bluehost-review-17336062.php) and rooting for France but happy with the other teams still left - Belgium, England, Croatia. So far been a pretty exciting World Cup. :)

The Belgium-Brazil game last night was crazy. Belgian goalkeeper was the man of the match imo. If he continues to play like that I can't see anyone beating Belgium.
