I would never have thought about Red Alert for Hardhead. Awesome! Now tell me you've figured out a way to make it an actualy Headmaster.

Ya Hardhead you made a good choice there, kinda looks like the IDW Earth mode for him. I'm tempted to try this now when I have time....in 2015...I'd also try making Ironhide and Ratchet out of Towline but I'm holding off to see if the classics line will release them as previously announced.

You can always drill a few holes/slits so that the original G1 Hardhead Headmaster can fit onto the torso while the original Red Alert's head is into the body.

My method has always been..I don't use any clear coating or anything, but as I paint him, each layer of paint or sit down session to add detail etc, I wait a full week allowing it to cure and haven't once had any issues with chipping. I paint thin even layers, and sand down slightly some joint areas etc..So, he should be good.

Thanks..I'll be starting Hard Head this weekend, and as for the black paint, that's just Testors Noir/Black brushed on thinly over the blue spray.

Well, since it's again, a commission, as is all of my work, it won't bother me..I'll buy one, and paint some for anyone else..

I'm suprised you don't make doubles and keep one. I'd be hard pressed to relinquish any repaints I made, makes the collection a little more original, but I guess thats why people get them from you since they lack the talent.

I usually get to annoyed and bothered while painting..And then oddly, I hate my "style" of painting, as I generally find it to be boring compared to some of the things I see on here. I want mine to be more, but, then, not so much so, as I don't want mine to look like theirs.

It's no talent taking them apart and spray painting them, and putting them back together. Painting little styles into my toenails takes more talent.

Got a question re: Ratchet... where did you get that head from? it looks like a custom head?

I believe they're getting the heads from that Sculptbot on TFW. It's really nice--But you have to cut into it to make a hole for the neck knob thing and you have to cut out some of the neck etc. It's one piece, but it shows where the screw is, but, it's all just one piece molded. I'd recommend it if you're looking to do one.

And about your Reflector... I think that if he had a spare tire on his chest instead of a camera lense, you would still achieve the same effect while staying true to the Alternators spirit. Could even be half a tire if thickness is an issue for transformation.

Thanks..The guy liked it too, I on the other hand, still have a bad taste in my mouth over it. Fortunately he's sending something else, to see if I can wash said taste out and try again, a Tracks into Blitzwing.

Those are all pretty neat. Reflector looks cool too but the racing stripes look a little think and bumpy, and a little wonky too. Great work on the bot mode tho! I like the camera lens on the chest.
