I know the dealer room is open Saturday & Sunday but what happens on Friday July 15th ?

I've only been once last year and I know they had the pre-registration pick up and the charity auction. I'm sure there are get togethers as well

Hey bro,
Friday consists of Registration, and then the Opening Ceremonies, and then the Charity Auction.

I gotta say, the charity auction has become one of my Favourite parts of TFcon!!

It's so exciting to be in that room and whiteness it, and if you're bidding on something, its even better.

Ian does an incredible job every year, and he brings the comedy too, and with Dan (G1 bumblebee as the guest host) its gonna be incredible!

Plus, you can get stuff super cheap there... I saw a hercules go for $180 last year!

As far as I know, anyone can come in. The money's for a very good cause.

The charity auction is a live event with an auctioneer, runners, etc. The silent auction is separate. I've heard of people bidding by proxy while on the phone elsewhere.

If you don't come Friday you will miss the auction. The silent option is any items that were not able to be auctioned off during Friday night.
