I just got a call from a travel agency saying that i won the lotto draw for a vacation package. they said it was when i entire a contest at the autoshow.

the vacation package is a trip around florida and a cuise for 8 days that is valued at $3500.

However, they also said that they need me to pay $299 per person with a credit card for service fee.

sounds a little fishy to me. did anyone else have simular calls?

A scam for sure. Over the past year I get calls about every 3 or 4 weeks telling me I've won a trip. It's always from different sources. Don't give them any money!!

Yes, its a scam. But they probably did get your info from the Autoshow you attended.
A couple weeks back my wife got a similar call from a contest she "won" at the Winnipeg Baby and Kids Show that we attended a while back. Same deal, you won a trip....give us $300 dollars and your on your way.
I wonder if these legitimate events know that scammers are setting up legally to try to fool people. I had considered contacting the Kids Show organizers, but I don't know if that would have any effect. How do you tell which draw they got your name from? My wife entered 100 draws or so..........

I got a similar call last week. I was confused when they said I won an all expenses paid vacation... blah blah blah... for only $350 per person. But I thought the expenses were paid????

It's odd that they'd say that you won it at the Autoshow. Tsk tsk, They're getting sneaky now.
