TFC Prometheus is my first 3rd party combiner and I'm definitely impressed by the combined size. Up until picking up Prometheus, all I had was FOC Bruticus (with Echo Transformer's add-on kit). This combiner has really opened my eyes to 3rd party offerings and I will most look forward to more in the future.
The five bots that form Prometheus are:

Hydrant = Hot Spot
Red Cross = First Aid
Verti-Aid = Blades
Warning Line = Groove
Gumball = Streetwise

The face sculpts are decent and the alt modes are exactly as they should look (helicopter, ambulance and police car). Groove's alt mode is not a typical motorcycle and Streetwise is a the combined look of a Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang.

According to the Tuna Standard, the "limb" bots are approximately four cans tall with weight varying from 132 grams (Streetwise) to 200 grams (Blades).

Hot Spot is proportionately sized to the rest of his team and looks decent in both robot and alt modes

Transformations are easy and combining them is a no brainer. The pegs are hexagonal and pop right in to the matching spots. For me, I like the Hasbro connectors on their combiners.

Prometheus (Defensor) is a chunky monkey weighing in at over a pound and ten tuna cans high. Make sure you have the shelf space to house something this size.
The extra plastic weapons from the other bots I mounted on Prometheus was to see what they look like and playing around to see where they can be stored and out of the way.
The materials making Prometheus are solid but the big question for Protectobot fans is should you go for broke (literally) and get TFC's offering or wait for Hasbro?
In my opinion TFC does a good job with Prometheus, I like it. But are you missing anything if you wait for the Hasbro release? Absolutely not. If Menasor is anything to go by, Defensor will be a solid offering and at a very reasonable price.

I'm liking the Hasbro offerings but those damn feet... Looks like all the combiners went through the Chinese feet binding ritual. I can't wait for the 3rd party upgrades for these big boys.

Agreed,feet to small, and thats being nit picky. But of all the CW combiners, I like in order Superion, Defensor the best and MM last. I think they did a great job on Superion, and defensor looks really good.

If I didn't have the 3rd pary ones already, I would have a hard time deciding which ones to get Has or 3rd party.

Sorry for the Hijack of your thread, anyways I still glad to have Mr.Pudgy eer.... Prometheus :highfive:
and thanks for the review and pics

Great review and pics! Appreciate you taking the time.

For me the 2 option mentioned here don't do anything for me.

I hope to see Maketoys or MMC jump in with their version.

To be fair, the Combiner Wars Defensor doesn't look that great either. They both look like the before and after shots following a really bad burrito.
