When I first saw Six-Gun being offered for Metroplex I was ecstatic about having a proper one to place beside the big boy.
Initially, I was very set in getting only the Before & After (B&A) version as it appeals to my sense of aesthetics but to be fair, TFC's offering wasn't as bad as I thought so I picked him too.
Without much further ado, let's start the shootout...

The packaging was pretty typical for TFC. Colourful, with nice action shots on the back. Other than the actual bot, transformation instructions, a spec sheet and a poster is what you get.

Before & After's (B&A) packaging is again nothing special. Lots of flashy graphics and with the bot includes an instruction manual, stickers, sticker guide and an errata sheet on how to position Six-Gun when he's in cannon mode for maximum stability on Metroplex's city mode.

Six-Gun or also known as Bulky Action Master Six Sigma with his trusty sidekick, Tower Tank.

Both versions of Six-Gun are pretty big with TFC's being only an inch shorter (feet to back cannons). Both Six-Guns are made from quality materials, feature good poseability (swivel wrists, fore foot swivel, hip flex) and carry considerable weight.

According to the Tuna Standard, B&A's Six-Gun earns his name of Bulky Action Master. He is quite the chubby monkey as compared to TFC Six-Gun.

Good details on both bots and as you can see a small height difference.

B&A's Six-Gun only breaks down to four components for Metroplex.

Whereas TFC Six-Gun offers much more components for Metroplex.

Both offerings are really good and the B&A version offers two colour versions (one for Hasbro version and the other Japan).
Each has their good points and bad. TFC may have those awkward looking ape arms but the giant "man hands" allow for individual finger movement. And TFC offers more configurations but because they offer more it meant certain configurations were not well designed.

Here, the missile is only held in place by two clamps but the missile is too heavy so it dips down.
The simplicity of B&A's Six-Gun means very basic modes and no fancy configurations. Two guns, a tank that turns into a tower and a turret is all there is to this version.

Here is a size comparison between the Six-Guns, FT Scoria and Maketoys Dagger Interspace Army Commando. There is too much Transformer goodness to be contained by my lightbox!
In my opinion, I am leaning towards B&A's Six-Gun because his proportions look nicer and he has a better semblance to G1 Six-Gun than TFC's version.
The TFC version is also very nice and should not be overlooked and when it comes down to it, it would seem to be something of personal preference. And either one would go nicely with Metroplex.

Very nice, and thanks for taking the time to do such an impressive comparison. How well does Metroplex hold the guns that comprise each of these Six-Guns? And how well do they fit on him in vehicle and city modes?

Metroplex holds the guns well. The companies modelled the gun grips after Metroplex's original weapons. The parts by and large stay on him well but my B&A Six-Gun turret is a little loose, not sure if this is the norm or just mine.

Wow, you can really see the merits of both figures here. I like that B&A's comes with Slammer. But I really like TFC's ship mode, though the floppyness kinda ruins it. If I were to get one of these, I'd honestly be torn.
