I grabbed a brand new light box today and wanted to give it a try so I swung through TRU to see what was available for a quick photo shoot. Lo and behold, they had a Voyager Rhinox (only one left now at the Winston Churchill location).

Rhinox looks good and the plastic feels nice. The horns, tail piece and ears are a softer plastic. My Rhinox had loose knees, not sure if this affects all copies of him but it is so bad I am keeping him in his alt mode.

Love the detailing on the Gatling Guns of Doom.

According to the tuna standard he is quite tall when he is measured from the tip of his horn to his feet.

I like his rhino mode. It actually looks like a rhino and is pretty innocuous on my shelf beside all my other Transformers.

Reminds me of the scene from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. That scene had me in tears.

I like how his gatling guns are stored in his belly area. And yup, Rhinox is a "boy" rhino.

Picked this guy up @ Collector's con. but haven't opened him yet. Good information though. Thanx :)

Another brilliant review longshot, thank you!

I tore this guy open the day I got him, and he impresses me more and more every day. It's like rhinox jumped right off the screen.

you should put those cans of tuna in your signature lol

Was kinda disappointed that the beast mode didn't have much in the way of articulation, but it still looks damn fine.

As for the knees, both my brother's and my own have loose knees as well so it seems that it is widespread.

I saw him on the shelf a few weeks ago, but passed 'cause it was amidst the "weak knees" scare, and I wanted to wait it out to see if that was isolated or widespread. Guess it is a pretty widespread issue.

I haven't seen him since and kinda regret not getting him. But being unable to find Waspinator either makes it okay... I guess.

Mine doesn't have the loose knees issue. The only thing I wish is the body colour can be a little bit darker. Kind of in between it and Takara one. Otherwise, it is an awesome figure.

My Rhinox has the loose knee syndrome, I am not sure why Hasbro didn't just go with ratchet on the knee and the upper joint. This would have not affected the transformation at all, cheap bastards. Else this would of been an even better figure, I went ahead and painted his gun in gun metal and chrome now it looks much better!!!

I broke mine the other day!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

One of the chest panels, beside the rhino lower jaw in robot mode.

I was transforming him and the panels were a little tight and wouldn't go all the way. I tried fiddling with it a couple times with no luck and finally gave it a hard push and SNAP!!!!, off it came!!!! I'm glad I got it on sale, but now I'll have to pick up another one during a future sale.

Bad luck. The panel pieces that make up his rhino belly and sides were tight on mine and I was worried about breaking them off during transformation.

I had the same feeling of breaking those panels too. I added some super glue to the loose knees and after it dried there was enough friction so the joint is tighter. Now I do not have two flopping knees on mine.

I love the tuna! Om nom nom.

Nice pictures too, hope you get much more use out of that light box.

Bought him, transformed him 2 - 3 times, and I just couldn't stand the looseness of the legs. Thinking this is how much Springer and Sandstorm cost and felt and how solid they are, just didn't feel the magic with this one, so returned it. Will wait for the next figure. He looks alright, but I just couldn't stand him up, and the rino didn't have any articulation at all.

One of the arms in my Rhinox's alt mode won't stay locked in, so I can safely say it's not just the knees that are an issue (though they're the most prominent). :/

That said, I still adore this figure. Maybe some time later, I'll mail him off to a customizer for a show-accurate paintjob or what have you. :T

I'm glad you like your Rhinox. Despite the knee flaw I'm still quite enamoured with his design and transformation. Which to me, really represents continued development for the toys.
