X-Transbots BEK-01DF Boosticus upgrade kit

I finally received my upgrade kit for FOC Bruticus and I can honestly say that he needed the extra plastic to beef him up. Pretty happy with the setup and how well everything fit into place. With that being said, the base figure from Hasbro is not the strongest frame to work with so bear in mind if you do wind up getting this upgrade for yourself don't expect it to truly make a lacklustre design great. I would have preferred Hasbro to do a parts former from the go so overall the frame of the figure would have been stronger. Nevertheless, X-Transbots (Echotransformer) did an excellent job fleshing out Bruticus. And the plastic was sturdy on top of that. Not a bad upgrade for my on display Bruticus.

I just realized with the kit Bruticus's head seems too small now. Otherwise, everything looks great.

Could be? I picked it up from Robot Kingdom, but the kit is also sold through BBTS and a couple of other places.
It does come in other colours but the black was the only colour I thought would go with the retail version.
I agree Sun Swipe Prime, A head could have been made to fit over the stock version to balance it out.

I'd love to get the SDCC one, but I wish Canadian retailers had this Canadian-designed kit! It feels bonkers to have to order it from out-of-country, but logistically I suppose it makes sense.

Yep, that's my design and thanks for the support.

The reason there isn't a bigger head is because Onslaught couldn't transform!

I also found it a bit strange Canadian e-tailers didn't pick it up...

Transbots and I have spec'd color versions for retail, SDCC/Platinum, G2 and Takara...yes, the unpainted black was a special limited run.

Ruination is progressing well also, and yes it's the totally different limb configuration!

I would buy the kit in a heartbeat but the cheapest shipping option is an additional $17 US. Stupid Automaton/A3U for not getting this!

Anyone know of a place in Toronto that may carry it?

I got a few retail painted kits in today...I'm very happy with the results, hope you guys are too (it's not fair for me to review my own kit, but at least wanted to share the picture, lolzzz)

Many thanks guys and I do have many fans to thank, they provided lots of good suggestions that improved the kit and helped drive up the traffic on the forums, YouTube and Facebook that made full production a no-brainer! It would not have happened without support and of course X-Transbots taking a chance on a new guy. ;)

G2 and SDCC/Platinum were supposed to be end of January, and I saw a picture of a production unit that was just Swindles foot with Camo---and it looked good but wasn't complete...My guess is just after CNY, unfortunately. I really hope the delay will be worth it!
