Kre-O Optimus Vs Megatron Pictorial Review

Here's my first review....
I started collecting the Kre-O sets specifically for the Kreons just like many of you I'm sure! Well boy was I surprised to find this at Zellers for 20% off and being just released this month!

Pretty nice, huh?! Noticeable differences...GO!
-Optimus is missing his leg wheels
-Optimus is missing his exhaust pipes on his arms
-Megatron is missing his arm guns
-Optimus and Megatron both have energy weapons, AWESOME!
-Optimus and Megatron have new paint apps, NICE!
-Optimus and Megatron have darker plastics, the darker the berry the sweeter the juice?

And now for the puny humans! Here they are! The Autobot ally comes with a shotgun and Decepticon ally a SMG, also a ski mask to disguise him while he robs the bank (which comes with the set, but not part of this review.)!

Now throughout this review did you notice anything? Something a little off at all? No? Well here goes! THE QA ISSUES!

Megatron was 100% perfect! Optimus on the other hand (pun intended) has stress marks in the slot where his hand was placed. The cause? The hand piece was installed improperly! Shown by the crooked placement in the slot and left in the package to stress during the whole time! Since then I was able to pop it in.

Optimus' damage is not too noticeable, but it's not as bad as the humans though. Autobot ally right hand!

Overall, Optimus and Megatron are phenomenal. The issues with the humans are negligible as they are probably not the reason you're buying this set anyways! Beware! You're taking a Chance with QA issues and Chance is a fickle lady! Normally priced at $39.99 before tax, I got this on sale for 20% off. I recommend waiting till you can get it even cheaper.

I think the Prime and Megs are supposed to be based on the Transformers Prime versions, though the actual building set Megs seems to be a cross between TFP and WW (since it builds into a tank and not a "jet".)

Yeah definitely Prime equivalents.

Yeah, 3rd agreed. Looking at their chests they are TF:Prime inspired.
In all honesty I'll probably pick up just kre-ons too. It's like Transformers Mini-mates :)
