To bad they didn't put in a copy of the 86 movie in blue ray then they could have called it the ultimate North American movie edition.

They'll have that ready for Christmas I'm sure.

Different studio. Live action movies are properties of Paramount and DreamWorks. The 86 movie apparently has no distributor in US and Canada now.

ummm...
I guess you can just put the 4th movies blue ray on the shelf beside that sweet box when it comes out.

From what I understand it is going to be a reboot anyway, so this will stay a trilogy.

Ive heard the same thing, as none of the actors have been re-signed. Originally i heard it was supposed to take place like 20 years after DOTM, but i think that was just rumors. Now it seems as if they are going to make a whole other movie-verse.

But this could still all be speculation.

I wouldnt mind, but i've gotten so used to movie-verse, that a reboot this soon seems scary.

Although, if it were based on Cybertron, I would Love it no matter what.

Figure I'll just ask this here: is there a "good" version of the dotm blu-ray released yet?

There are two version of DOTM:

The original release from September that comes with the blu ray and dvd. No features, just the movie.

Then there is the newer one that is 4 discs. (Blu Ray, DVD, 3D Blu Ray and special features). There is no commentary for the film. This is the exact same version that is included in the Ultimate collection.
