$48.74 for the Blu-ray! The DVD set is only $20.99. I wonder why such a difference? I want the blu-ray, but not at that price!:doh:

Yeah, as much as I really want to support this show and support Shout Factory in putting out Bluerays of some of their shows that really deserve it, it's really tough to swallow a near $50 box set. Granted it is 26 episodes and you also get a 96 page comic too. Which, to be fair, sounds pretty good. But it is bullshit that the Canadian price is $48.74, where as the US price is $40.99, when the Loonie is at par with the Dollar. I might wait till I see this in store and get them to price match the US price.

Most stores, particularly big box stores like WalMart, willingly price match the US retail on things like books and DVDs when the CAD is at par with the USD. Although not always. It's easiest when the US and Canadian prices are clearly marked on the product, which is the case with most book. DVDs, might be harder because most of them don't have a MSRP marked on them. But if our dollar stays strong, I can see some Canadian retailers at least having some decent sales on to try and prevent their customers from buying from the US.
