They've got my interest, BUT IMHO, as is, it doesn't quite get there for me. I look at City Commander and this doesn't knock it off the shelf, yet.

I dunno what you all are seeing but what I see is a stand alone Magnus. Finally his own bot mode and not now repaint of OP or some Armour that fits on another figure I am Definatly interested in this and will probably be picking it up as I for one think this could be really awesome depending on who brings it out. Correct me if I am wrong but IGEARS website had a Poll on what to bring out next and I am sure UltraMagnus with Trailer Armour was on the top of the list so fingers crossed I hope this is Igears Attempt to make me a happy UM fanboy

You make a good point. One of the reasons the Titanium UM was so good is that it was its own thing and not a hand-me-down Optimus.

The problem is it kind of pales next to City Commander. Paint will help, I'm sure, but it's the details...

Now that's just silly. Maybe I don't want another UM, but City Commander is pretty awesome. I think it's only that we already have that and it looks better that is dampening enthusiasm for this one.

I know that there is all this love for Citycommander and I will admit I love it and want one 2 but if this bad boy looks good with colour and is cheaper than 300 in change I will be picking it up as City Commander is Crazy expensive and that is if you can find a good Magnus to put in it as most of the Magnus I hear are starting to have quality issues as in real loose joints. So in the end I hope it is Cheaper Than 300 with tht said I will probably only be able to get Shadow Commander at best
