He looks odd especially the waist. Not just that but his size is like a Voyager HA figure instead of the typical HA scale for the larger figures like BB, Jazz and so on. Hmmm. He's gonna need a lot of customization. It's like the planned out his torso but then forgot his lower half needs to happen.

Okay, scroll down on the TFW article. The card with the illustration -- that picture is great. Soundwave looks terrific there.

Then scroll down further to the toy. Oh dear. Pencil legs. It's like they forgot to give him legs and put him on stilts.

And what is with the prototype-grey color? This is now the third figure (Sideswipe, Deluxe Soundwave, now this) that looks unfinished because the plastic color is so boring.

I'm not sure I like the "speakers" on this or the deluxe version. The coloring makes me think of Animated Soundwave, which, while a cool reference, just seems wrong for this model.

At least the car looks nice. So does Laserbeak.
