How to fill large gaps

I'm trying to finish up my Rotf leader megatron mods but i need to fill in the empty space that left in the arm and in the neck..anyone know a good way to fill in large gaps or any links to some tutorials and such..i couldnt find any but i've only had a quick look through a couple of other forums..needs to be a fairly inexpensive solution as was. Thanks in advance for any help I get, it will be greatly appreciated.

A picture would be nice to see what the gap is.

I find testor contour putty wirks good for gaps and fill, but is not good if there is movment of flexing.

i'd go with automotive 2 part short strand fiberglass,but like racerguy76 said,no pics makes it hard to tell.

ok thanks..there will be alot of movement and flaxing on the 2 spots..ill put up pics when I get home later. Also i found some quick setting epoxy that comes in a syringe type of thing with 2 tube and has to be mixed..im wondering if i use that would it work.

I'm not sure the two part epoxy will fill gaps. It tends to shrink as it dries. A hot glue gun would fill better and be flexible but be very hard to sand and shape. The 2part short fiberglass would work the same as the putty. It would harden the same and be sandable but not very flexable.

I don't own the figure so I don't really know what moves on the bot, but either has a certain amound of strength. Any fill used has the possibility of cracking/coming apart.

the automotive 2 part s/s fiberglass will fit the bill here nicely.
it's available in quart cans for 15 bucks of so at crappy tire.as an added bonus,that can will last you many customs,or 3-5 years.
just make sure if you can,use a dremel and roughup the insides of the cavities you're filling,just so the filler has something to grip to.
once cured,it's pretty sandable.

Awesome thanks...unfortunastely i have no dremel, everything i do now is done entirely by hand..its somewhat of a pain but im just starting so its ok lol. yeah im going to have to head down today for some of that stuff. thanks again, hopefully ill be able to get a dremel soon and start work on a my first big project

Also i meant to ask, is there a certain brand of this stuff thats good?

Why not buy some styrene from a model place and cut it to fit the hole then super sculpey to fill in the gaps and edges? That's what I did with the holes on the shoulder for ROTF Leader Megs.
