They will ship to Canada. I was going to put an order in, until I saw the shipping was almost $38. Then I decided I would wait for Costco or continue to be happy with my old Unicron.

Plus $9 for import fees and duty. Still, at $80 US total, it's a lot cheaper than the other versions out there, plus I don't have a Costco nearby, so I took the plunge :D

Amazon.com does ship to Canada - but not for all it's products. Books, Movies, Cd's, I've never had a problem. Some toys ship, while others do not ship outside of the US - even if they are sold by Amazon. It's odd.

Oh really? I had no idea. You're right though, that is a pretty small fee - and nothing compared to what customs could have charged. Canadian Customs has never charged me with Amazon.com though. And I've been ordering from them regularly for at least 10 years now. Strange world we live in.

They don't charge import fees/duty.

If you click on the "import fees" link included in the total price when checking out, it explains what this is all about. It's the taxes and duties you pay for bringing an item into Canada, so basically the same as paying tax here in Canada, and it's dependent upon your provincial tax. I have a copy of it in my email stating it as an import fee. Regardless, it's peanuts compared to paying UPS fees.
