DOTM Megatron (Voyager)

Wasn't a huge fan initially of the design for Megatron in Dark of the Moon, but after seeing it in action it really stuck out with me and I couldn't help but want to grab the voyager toy immediately after seeing the film. However like most movie figures the mold was incredible but the paint details and colours looked so bland and blah that I couldn't resist doing my own paint job on the figure.

Paints used: Testors aluminum and silver for the body, flat black for detailing, copper for the facial damage, rust for...rust...and Tamiya Khaki to match the colour of the cab, dirt effects, and dry brushing over the body.

Enjoy! Really had fun with this project, especially making the rust effects look genuine. (PS the rust in person doesn't looks so bright red, it's more brown)

This is really well done. Great job. There was a person who did a custom megs and used a shotgun from the gears of war toys for him.

don't get your hopes up for one joshimus for the next leaders they will more than likely give us more repaints of BB and repaint the leader mold

Very nice work here man....not too overpowering with the added paint details....its a nice subtle combination that really makes it flow together very well....

And if you come along something, or make one, I'll take a shotgun for my Megs too....

Thanks Eric...I was looking at him and thinking the logical way to pull it off would be to have something tab into his forearm but it'd just be a matter of finding a gun that looks close enough and would still line up well with the hand...
