i dont own any of "these kinds" of figures, but i'm seriously considering these two.

i dunno man, in terms of human sculpts, cms doesnt really do a good job in my opinion but we shall see

I don't think so, it was just a guy (or a group of guys) who sold the garage kits whenever they were able to make at conventions, certainly not to the point of a factory making these. Plus they were all unassembled and unpainted, requiring hours of work to make it look decent.
