this will be the first time i actively seek out the botcon set in the aftermarket... i'm not exactly looking forward to it.

I'm glad for all of ya'll but for the first time where I might be able to snag a contact to get me these figs, the figs involve a line I have no interest in, it's a shame.

I wouldn't say it's not in the realm of possibility. BotCon has occasionally had other figures that didn't exactly fit with the main theme. For example, last year the theme was G2, but we still got RiD Sky-Byte and SG Ravage.

And on the BotCon frontpage it says, "The invasion has begun...". So I'm guessing either the Animated characters go to a different universe, ala Bee in the City, or characters from another universe invade theirs.

Well, at least an increased possibility of Animated Cyclonus and Team Charr. We got an Oil Slick (peg-warming) toy and Animated Blackout was already made for the Japanese market. Maybe he'll finally make it out West with Cyclonus, Strika, Spittor and yet another redeco of Oil Slick as the BotCon '11 set.

Sadly, if such awesomeness does get made for BotCon '11 schmucks like me who can't make it will have to pay out of our a$$ for one of these or live vicariously through attendees who graciously post on-line toy reviews or hi-res galleries for us to salivate over :crying:.

On the other hand my dark horse "Sheyah Right!" vote would be for an Animated version of the Rodimus versus Cyclonus 2-pack which would likely happen the same day pigs learn how to fly.

even rodimus team like hotshot, redalaert, and brawn. would be I would not mind paying a hefty price for any of those characters. also warpath, yukitron, and even maybee a sari figure would be the best

Not trying to burst your bubble, but Botcon toys have historically been either straight up repaints of existing toys, or existing toys with new heads and paintjobs.

I would hope for Activators Bumblebee repainted into Wasp, and Cybertron mode Optimus repainted into Kup (even though there was a BotCon Kup not that long ago). Maybe Oil Slick into Animated Cy-Kill?

cyclonus=voyager starscream with minor mods to the wings and a new head and paint.

strika= leaderclass ultramagnus,new head,new paint,no more hammer or electronics.

blackout= japanese version,maybe new paint?

oilslick= oilslick but with different paint and a vial of cosmic rust.

maybe it'll even be "animated" versions of previously released botcon figs,like animated deluxe bb into bugbite.now that i would buy in a heart beat.

I LOVE the robo-beard, that's just awesome. The one botcon I wish I was going too *Sigh*

Oh well, if anyone wants to sell their set they know who to come to LOL...guess I should start saving then.
