g1 ultra magnus paperweight

what do you get a guy who has literally almost everything u/m related?
how bout a "paper weight":rofl:?(seriously)
this was made from a vintage g1 ultra magnus voice changer.
the insides and electronics were gutted,and the nasty straw that you were originally suppossed to somehow talk through was pitched.(with gloves on...ick)
in place of the electronics,his whole insides,in every nook and cranny has now been filled with 1cent pennies and hot glue.i'm guessing he weighs in at just under 2 lbs now.
he's also been repainted with tamiya acrylics to more resemble his "darker" cartoon appearance instead of his light blue toy colors.

i intentionallly left the visable glue patch on his back unpainted.if you look closely when he's in hand,you can somewhat see the pennies.

i also didn't fill a hole that used to house a switch in his left side just so the pennies are visable.

That is so great, Chans! I love the paint work you did on him because it looks so rich and smooth. I didn't even know that an UM voice changer existed. :)

I had the voice changer since I was a kid and I always saw it as an unpainted Action Master Ultra Magnus (It's even somewhat to scale with the others and has arm articulation) but you just made it HAPPEN. Nice work.

This is awesome as I still have yet to get the original voice changer figure from Daniel and now I get an awesomely painted one that will actually be a functional part of my Ultra Magnus covered desk :D

...all this time I've been using that large Matrix dropping Ultra Magnus statue as a paper weight...WELL! Never again!

I'll probably even use it considering the tome sized textbook I have to friggan read for most of my classes in the next year and a half...



But I digress....

I seriously wonder if you were inspired by the movie Ernest Goes to Camp, on tv yesterday, especially the plunger scene at the beginning when he says, "EeeWW-weww-weww!"

Oh man, I recall a TF meetup some years ago when a friend brought his Magnus voice changer, and another guy actually wanted to grab it and put his mouth on the straw.
