I'm so glad there are theaters that don't do 3D. They get my movie money now.

Was never planning on shelling out the extra money to give myself headaches.. Besides, those stupid glasses were never designed for people with glasses.. =.=

This.

3D triggers my Migraines, my medication for those is VERY expensive...

3DTV is now being pushed hardcore though, and it's actually starting to catch on with those who can afford it... By this time next year, 3D will either be dead, or full-on mainstream with no end in sight.. :(

3D movies don't bother me so much. My kids hate them though. I will never buy a 3D tv unless the tech gets to the point where I don't need to slap on glasses.

Personally i don't mind 3d. not super into it, not super against it. It just is what it is. I'm personally waiting for the future of 3d tv's. They are developing 3d tv's without glasses. Now THAT is cool!

I have yet to see anything in 3D but this is promising:

Having the glasses built into the TV :D

3DTV with no glasses will not have the same effect though. Yes it will be 3D, but the image will not pop out of the screen, rather it will sink into it. It will be similar in effect to those lenticular photos that look 3D, you know those sheets with the plastic bumps that kids love to run anything across to make a zipper noise?

I imagine it would have an effect similar to that, only far more complicated and, actually perfectly clear. I am pretty sure I heard this is how Nintendo is doing the 3DS, which does not require glasses. A setup like this is possible to be less hard on the eyes, even though it is still creating an artificial 3D image for the brain. I would probably still get headaches from it... I will find out when the 3DS comes out. The good thing about that though is that it has a slider to determin how much (if any!) 3D you want :D

I find the 3D glasses to get a bit uncomfortable after awhile....but as someone who wears glasses it can be a bit inconvenient
