Definitely looks like Black Shadow. Can't wait to see how the colours on this guy looks.

And as much as I'd like to see some characters return from the Unicron Trilogy, I'd rather see them in represented in new molds.

Black Shadow?! AWESOME!

...who's Black Shadow?

He's from TF Victory....appeared in ONE episode, and was a remold of the original Thunderwing toy so it makes sense but such an obscure reference for the North American market....

Man, I would have bet money on the remold being Jhiaxus.

One more reason to watch Victory, I suppose!

While I know nothing of the chacter, I think the assumption that he's "Black Shadow" is dead on, as even his chest is drawn to be remolded to be 90% accurate to what the G1 toy looked like.

Probably gonna be a eHobby Exclusive of sorts.. Since I doubt this will be a North American release..

But who knows what Hasbro's up to now, we got fricken Straxus...

Even more obscure with Mindset...he was only in like 3 panels of a comic!

...gotta say though...I really do like these oddity figures...

These new oddity figures really test what Originality is, where Hasbro doesn't need to be bound within some sort of art direction. I'm totally digging these Obscure , and brand new character. (Because cartoons can't have Trident-wielding Orange decepticon jets...)

Also nobody really knew who Thunderwing, unless you're an avid TF-fan, until this toy. I really gotta commend them for the recent innovative steps they took...

After all, there can only be so many Bumblebees, Optimus Primes, and Megatrons.

No...not an orange one....but Wing Stun (http://tfu.info/2004/Destron/WingStun/wingstun.htm) here fits the rest of the criteria...too bad he didn't use the same cyberjet mold as Space Case...Terradive would have been a damn near perfect homage then.

Either way I call my Terradive, Wing Stun :P

Looks a bit like Energon Megatron too...

Could also be Deszaras...not as likely as Black Shadow, but it could work...

I hope this is the black Shadow.

I wonder wthat the hell hasbro would call him. Hasbro would call Blue Bachus, Blue Maximus really makes me think of who they'll name him as.

That does look like Black Shadow! I was thinking it might have been Starscream's pretender shell but this is even better. I'm loving how Hasbro is really dipping into the obscure for us. :)

If the remould is shown in US instructions then we're getting a domestic release

Cool, I guess. I'll wait and see what the actual figure looks like. One one hand, I'm a little disappointed to not be getting Jhiaxus out of that mold. On the other hand, if Hasbro is willing to make such an obscure character, there is still hope for a Tailgate repaint out of Scout Windcharger. :)

Only partly shocked.

While it was a given due to it being his only repaint counterpart, I am shocked they still went with it.

Nemesis Shadow anyone?
