Moved in the last month, this is the new set up as it stands, much more use-able space than before and I get to relax in the collection room again. I am guessing more frequent than once every two years dusting though. The room has three main uses, PS4, Warhammer Fantasy, gaming and display, and Transformers collection room.

the carpeting is very thick and soft in this place, but i've had it happen too, luckily only rotf brakedown, his head snapped off at the ball joint, hence why there is one in alt mode lol. a little nervous, but i keep the more expensive ones in the back, so they just fall onto the shelf

opened game, i had a couple empty cases to put the game in to keep it by the sony and have the game case for the display, i'll be online in a few mins if you want to play some escalation lol

one rotf breakdown fell off the top shelf, broke his neck (literally) breachers are getting customized into eject and rewind, crumplezone hasn't been completed yet, but i will be soon (probably get a cybertron collection going eventually)

Thats a great collection. I love the cabinets. I noticed that your Unicron suffers from the back flop as does mine. Any plans on getting that new mounting base to support planet mode properly? Alot of my guys are boxed up for protection. Renos are a biatch.

i only have one unicron now, the other is in the process of being rebuilt into someone else (not a combiner) i might think about the base for the main one though

I wish my shelves were tall enough to let my Jetfire be all armoured up. I I finally found the back leg pieces and clips for them at TFCon. I've had all the others since I got him back in '85, but somehow just those 4 pieces went missing over time.

You need to push Blaster/Twincast's arms in.

I also see that you have Squawkbox displayed with the Masterforce guys. I thought about doing that just to fill out the ranks, but since my displays are only of the guys who were in the shows my my brain won't let me!

lol, they're kos, the arms are pushed in now, dunno why they ended up that far away :) i put squalkbox there for the teal/purple matching, they look great together imo

thanks man, we can't get them here, had to go to toronto to get them. lol. ikea should have a booth with just detolfs outside of tfcon, they'd make a killing. i'm using drawer organizers for the short ones (they come in different lenghths) and three box containers from dollarama, 1.25 for the drawer organizers, and $2 for the boxes.

No, i buy loose mostly for the US figures, some of them are MIB, but the Japanese G1 stuff is mostly MIB, it was easier to find that way than loose. It's amazing what can be done with a good cleaning and Reprolabels (if needed)

i got it in a lot with a few other things. I'll pm you the details.

Chest symbols were made from a piece of vinyl from Chans, drew them on with a very sharp sharpie, cut with an xacto, and rub off the sharpie with a damp rubbing alcohol towel

A very nice collection sir. Time for me to go shelf shopping again and take some updated photos of my ever growing collection. Gotta figure out how to get the various 100+ Prime Car and Jet Vehicons (Deluxes, Legends and Kreons) into a group shot but it's going to take me some time to open them all first as most of them are boxed away for when I have a larger home and display space. Hasbro please do not make anymore Sharkticons outside of the Kreo ones until I buy a new house, thank you.

1. They get dusted every six to eight months. the rooms they're in are sealed. Not as much dust gets in there

2.G1 boxes i keep, new stuff unless it's an exclusive, 3rd party, or mp, gets tossed.

3. Loose figures, In their most compact mode (usually alt mode) with any small parts folded up that can be. i used my shirts etc, layer toys, layer clothes etc. bubble wrap and individual packing for extra fragile ones.

Takara, as far as kos go, the only ones i have are the go shooter, minerva, headmaster box set, and dino cassettes. which will leave as i get real ones

wow someone else knows about this rare variant! i have one and had to do so much research on it as i thought it was put together. only thing that made me think it was legit was that the lot i bought was from someone who dug up all his old toys from his parents place.

I have been working with a company (Toystages.com) doing backdrops lately, and as part of their next release, there are a ton of G1 influenced backgrounds. I got to keep a bunch of them, but I haven't gotten them all into the displays yet, here's the ones I did.

There are even ones made to fit both Expedits and Detolfs, and they work in series (all of the backdrops have this size as well) This is the Teletran-1/Ark interior sets put together. I'm working on getting less toys in front of them by rearranging them a bit so you can see the background better.

Brr-icy, I just wanted to thank you for letting me check out your collection recently. Ironically, you are a professional photographer, but your pictures don't do your collection justice. That's not a knock on your photography skills. It's just that it's so overwhelming and well displayed that no picture can capture the awesomeness like when seeing it in person.

And for such a rare and expensive collection, I commend you on being a collector that is not afraid of playing and transforming your vintage toys. I was shocked when you transformed some of those vintage pieces in front of me. I cringed every time I heard a tab snap. I believe you even lost a rare missile lol :primelaugh:

It just demonstrates how much a fan of the toys you are. Your G1 room is like a time machine back to '84. Thank you again :bow:

Not true. I saw it, myself.

99% of his stuff is authentic G1. That's why I can't believe he transformed Overlord, Scorpnock and other big bots and combined Victory Saber when I was there and let my daughter play with them too. Ok me too :) So many other rare gems he showed us. This guy is either nuts or is a true fan of the toys. Oh and the Browning transformation was so cool to see. But he dared not to transform MP-5 with Justitoys add on. He's not that nuts.

Brr-Icy has addressed the question about KO's in his collection however anyone who has collected or looked into some of the more desirable vintage KO's (I'm not referring to the recent dollar store variety) would know that there are knock offs that cost in the range of their G1 counterparts and can be much more difficult to find.

it was rooms before. I actually sold off about 300 figures and boxed up a lot of others to contain it to this one room and a small overflow in the photo area. Probably another 200 figures that I haven't decided whether I'm going to display them or not Lol.
