Katen Kyoukotsu! (Just kidding!)

This isn't technically finished, but its almost done. I recently moved to a new home (Yay, HOA! :lol) and I know the customer was beyond tired of waiting to see this guy in action. He's missing a headlight bulb, as well as two panels that will go under his running boards that I made and he needs his Cali License Plate Decal. But setting up a new workshop takes a while (especially when you have as much stuff as I do!)

Anywho, Beachcomber started his life as a Alt Tracks, and was modded with arms and feet from a Alt Skids, as well as door joints from a few Classics figs. The head is a reworked Cybertron Defense Red Alert figure. And, of course, the surfboard is the same from Kiss Players Pervy Prime (Thanks again, Lion!). Transforms into a 37' Street Rod, complete with a trailer to tow his Board. Decals by the AMAZING Boggs6ft7, best metallic decals I've ever used, doncha know!

The paint is Testors Model Masters Metallic Blue, with a base of GW Ice Blue Underneath. The white is GW Skull white mixed with a lil Pearlized Paint.

LOL Thanks guys. Re-shells are something I want to get much better at. When Plowking is your homie, you can't be slacking on your re-shell game!

It's cool, I just don't see Beachcomber in there at all.

For me he'd work better as an original character. Again everything looks great, the painting the surf board swords, all of that - I just don't see the pacifist, flowerchild like Beachcomber character in the work.

This dude looks like a badass samurai bot to me.

I agree! But, when you accept a commission, you have to look at it through someone's else's eyes, but with your own spin. he definitely wanted Beachcomber to be a 37' Hot Rod. This is where I got to from there.

Thanks for the love, BTW, Plowking! (Grumbles over not having Hammerlock in my collection)

Don't you dare grumble over Hammerlock. I wanted him too.

Oh yeah, sweet custom too. :p

Great job, man!

Even though the Alt mode is different, the color scheme still screams "Beachcomber" to me, especially the head (and that surfboard is killer).

I envy anybody that can pull off a reshell. I tried one with Classics Cliffjumper...it started out as a classic Porsche and ended up looking like something in Fred Sanford's junkyard. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/images/smilies/rip.gif

very cool reshell job!!!
the kiss board is a nice touch but the best part is the smooth almost factory paint!!
the only honest negative critique i could offer is to change his chest some how.it just still screams "tracks" to me more than beachcomber.is it hard to remove?
either way,it looks good the way you have him so far.....now quit teasing us and give us alt mode pics!!!!:p:)
