Combining Classics Optimus Prime with Classics Jetfire

I've just discovered a fan-combo which really works. As it says in the title, Classics Optimus and Jetfire are able to combine. I saw a youtube vid which showcased the work of Alpha Magnus of TFW2005. It really works well if you pretend that Jetfire's helmet is the Combined mode's head. Here are some photos I took of my attempt at this wicked combination:

Jetfire's torso ridges help make this stay together. Make sure you fit them in this way, or else the new robot will always be looking down:

This is _pretty cool_ although it's pretty clear that thhis was never intended byt he toy designers like Skystalker/Mindwipes vehicular piggypback.
Most, if not all, of the Energon character's combinations were better because the combined figure used one bot's legs as the new arms, this just feels like Prime's legs as legs and Jetfire's arms as arms and an entire bot worth of kibble on their back.

thats what makes it a fans combo idea. like the skystalker and mindwipe bot mode combo. never intended but very cool none the less

The kibble serves to represent a flight pack in my eyes; Jetfire's legs and backpack function as booster jets, and his wings also create the illusion of back parts for the shoulder pads formed from Optimus' cab doors.

No prob, when I saw that combination I did think that the Commander armours would help add a bit of bulk to the legs.

what a great idea I would never have thought of this. I tried it this morn but I tried this combo with treadbolt, I think that the colours work much better with prime/treadbolt, plus his gray guns look like smokestacks. unfortunately my cam is without batteries right now, will have to post pics another time.

Anyone try this with classics ultra magnus and jetfire yet? the white on white should match up pretty well, lol.

Tekkamanraiden, you may want to turn Magnus' arms; flip the hands down; and fold the panels as shown below. It helps make the shoulder guards look better, in my opinion:

No problem. The combination of Dark Skyfire and Nemesis Prime should look pretty badass. I'm interested to see how that would look with the Shadow Commander waist and leg pieces applied.
