Just to be clear its not my intention to suggest that she's an ugly girl, she obviously is not.

But if she is Megan's replacement as a love interest, well, I just can't see that working on any level in conjunction with the other films.

I didn't buy any scene with fox in it. She has the timing and ability of a bag of wet socks. I didn't like the "forced" chemistry between them. This is definitely a step in the right direction. Plus it serves the ungrateful little tart a lesson for her disrespectful and spoiled diva comments/actions. Lets have a transformers movie about the transformers, not teenage angst and tribulation.

In many movies the "love interest" is replaced every movie, I see no problem at all. These things happen in real life...why not in this movie too.

Two things:

Now that Megan Fox being kicked out is official,looking back at the forced storyline of Mikaela and Sam trying to say I love you to each other,really wasted a good amount of time in ROTF.Both character development,and the concept of love itself became useless,making swallow such drivel for....well,nothing.

For this current news,I'm a bit disappointed that Sam is getting another love interest,but,considering that the details of the plot are vague at this point,I can judge this direction right away.I kind of despise romance being forced in movies such as these,especially since there are important areas that are needed to be mended and strongly contained before we are allowed to see any love occurring between the two main characters.

I'm finding myself pretty indifferent on this whole situation. Part of me wants Fox to stay for consistency's sake but another part of me wants a new love interest that could offer some good chemistry and prove to have some acting chops.
In the end I just ask myself if TF3 could be any worse than TF2 and hope that there's nowhere to go but up.

This is another problem that's faced in ROTF,the amount of screentime for all new Transformers.Aside from The Fallen and Jetfire,who are vital directions for the plot,the Twins are one of the very few who had plenty of time to develop their characters,whilst characters such as Arcee,Sideswipe,and Jolt are left in the dust and have to be developed until the next film.

Here's another thing I noticed.Although the Twins and Wheelie had some direction of the plot,their screentime amount lasted longer than the others for the sake of comedy.Though we had humans to provide it for us,one of the struggles of ROTF was that they were trying so hard to balance comedy and drama in the span of two hours.The greatest sacrifice of this plan was character development of the other new Transformers who are part of the dramatic side of the movie.

The organization of the writing made ROTF sun-par to the first one.I know that they claimed the Writer's Strike was to blame for the script we were presented to,this sort of thing should not return in the third film.We can only hope for the best in my opinion.

Oh, I really don't think Michael Bay was trying to balance that. He concentrated on cool effects and cheap comedy; drama was not an issue to him.
