I can see it being Rodimus Convoy. It would be a rather small box for a MP-09 if it was just Hot Rod. Perhaps they will engineer it that it's a nicely done Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod alt mode with very Rodimus Convoy/Prime details and colors in robot mode, with the trailer doing what the trailer always did.

Or they could do what they did with Prime. Release him as Hot Rod first. Then a year or 2 later, rerelease him with a trailer that forms the armor to upgrade him into Rodimus Prime. You know, like they should have done with Ultra Magnus. But nobody cares about Ultra Magnus.:p

That's a good idea. It would be nice to see both a 1/24 Hot Rod and an MP Rodimus. I can just imagine how amazing a die-cast G1 accurate Hot Rod would be.

I would really hope for Roddy Prime if they are going the MP route. Hot Rod just does not seem like it would be enough bot to fill the MP shoes.

Why couldn't it be Hot Rod and Rodimus all rolled into one. How about something like what fansproject is doing with the classics Hotrod figure. A base figure Hotrod that armors up to be Rodimus Prime.
