If anybody has $35,000.00 to spend, check out this eBay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/Transformer-Action-Figures_W0QQitemZ150130632271QQihZ005QQcategoryZ75 3QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Wow...

Pretty sad that their brother passed away, but 35000 dollars?!?
If I was to spend that I would want to know every f-ing piece of that collection and what condition that it is in.

I sent the seller a message:

Hi,

Your auction came to my attention from checking out a Canadian transformers forum page. I am sorry to hear about your brother’s death and see that his transformer collection was a pretty big part of his life.

Can I make a small suggestion? There are many transformers fans looking to purchase many different, rare or hard to find pieces. If you could break this auction up into multiple auctions, or even list them separately (while time consuming) It would likely be a better chance that they would sell. Plus many transformer fans don’t have that kind of cash.

Also there are plenty of fan sites that you can sell directly to people. These include www.tfw2005.com (http://www.tfw2005.com/) and www.cybertron.ca I am a member at both of these places and find both to be very good sites with extremely good people.

I hope this helps.

Kyle

I didn't want to be to forward, but these people may not know how much a figure is worth, maybe the community could help them out. Plus with a collection like that you would think that he may have been a member...:(

That was for both the collection and the price!

It would make more sense to break that baby up into smaller auctions.

there looks to be many g1 stuff there maybe even some misb g1 stuff there too how ever its too hard to tell from the pics... they need to take better pics and more close up stuff if they want to sell it as a lot too They allso shouldn't say anything about the death as well I duno what there going for with that if anything or just being honest but that tends to at least I Think so from my own views ... turn people off/away... from stuff like this You allso don't know if you really should belive what ever sad sob story they put up for there reasons for selling :S

This is also a good example of why I take everything out of package and put on display. You can't take them to the grave with you.
Wish my brother had that collection, when he passed away a few years back all i found in his room was a ball of hash and some crappy old porn on VHS:eek:

So I recived an e-mail back from the seller. They stated that they wanted sell it as a group as it would be hard to split up....

It will be intreseting to see if someone picks it up.

There is no way all that can total $35000. There was someone here in Vancouver who reciently sold all his G1 MISB collection. All 85, 85 and 86 figures plus some others spread out. He was looking for $11000.

Even at $10 a figure (which is about what collections go for) that is only $7500 for all of it. Looks like there is a whole lot of armada and energon figures in there that don't add up to bupkis. Spliting it up would be best for them but if they have no knowledge of what is there, that would be impossible.

Sorry about your brother and all, but that last bit caused me to burst out laughing.

I think at max this collection is worth like $13,000. However if the collection carried 60 MIB Fortress Maximi, then and only then it could be worth $35,000.
