I'm glad to see G2 enjoying a resurgence lately. So many cool characters have gone overlooked and unloved. It's great to see some inspired repaints.
I'm betting that we may also see Armada Red Alert as Ironfist, Universe 2.0 Hot Shot as Gobots, Energon Bulkhead as Powerdive and Energon Sharkticon as Manta Ray. *crosses fingers*

Ever since the 07 debacle they seemed have to stray away from the "A-list" characters. So a Generation 2 boxset doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

You and me both, JS. If there was ever a part of Transformers lore that seems to have been passed over in the last few years, it's certainly been G2.

I think the original mold, vehicle-wise at least, looks like ROTF Scout Dead End [he'd need a new head, of course]... not that that mold needs to be reused again. But still.

I hope they at least decide to use some Classics mouds this year. I'm really getting tired of A/E/C molds with new heads.

But G2 doesn't really interest me that much, so really Fun Pub and Hasbro can do whatever they want :p

First Botcon set EVER. I haven't felt the need to purchase one as of yet, even though I would have absolutely loved the Games of Decepticons set, I'm glad I waited given Hasbro plans to released the only two figures I wanted.

The great thing about the BotCon sets is you can easily sell it there for the price of their big registration package, essentially making your attendance and exclusive access all free.

Of course the downside is if there is just 1 Transformer you like, you are tempted to keep the whole set.
