Um, 20$ US just for the GUN? Is that like insane markup or typical price range???

$20 is "typical" if you check other auctions

Other auctions??? E-Bay only showed me this one with my search. Do you mean to tell me the gun is more expensive than the figure or what? :(

Yes.

Guns and parts get lost along the way as they are usually smaller and usually non essential to play value, or are broken.

But when you need one 25 years later, BAM!!! 20 bucks.

Good examples would be Blasters gun for breaking issues (although itself not a small gun, but ill designed)

and hound's gas can or spare tire.

Yeah this is normal.

Ooooook, I shudder to think how much Duros costs by himself, IF you can find him. But it'd probably still be cheaper than that 120$ auction for a loose complete Hardhead I saw on E-Bay. Plus fans are always helpful, perhaps someone will be interested in doing a trade down the road. :D

I was going trade a some of G1 figures and assorted accessories for the new city commander set included was Spasma, which I was pricing for about $40. My wife ended up buying it for me in secret as an after christmas gift, so I think I'm just going to have a for sale thread at some point, going to work out pricing or a list of items I would trade for. Anyway...that price seems like the norm to me, at the action figure expo there vendors selling parts and guns were around $15-40, headmaster/target masters were $30 and to around $70. I was looking to trade a headmaster gun for something but he had one ($35) and he said he could only value it for trade at $5....I ended up getting $40 from another vendor looking to complete a figure he was selling so he could sell it for the "complete figure " price, lol.

yeah guns are usually expensive; I was bidding on a gun for G1 Kup and it went for around 17.25 or so US.

If the parts are cheap the shipping will kill ya....

Everytime I have tried it the shipping is more than the part.I have to really want it complete to go out of my way.I have found it better to buy complete or be happy without.

Yep. Part prices seem to be going higher and higher on eBay. Just keep checking around, if you are patient you can find parts at a more reasonable costs.

Or...

Sometimes it's cheaper to buy 2 or 3 semi complete figures and just take the parts you need. I had to buy 3 Weirdwolfs before I had a complete one. Cost me less than what people wanted for Monzo alone.

Cheers!
