Sorry, but I saw this and man, what a joke!

Sorry, but this is just totally underwhelming to me upon looking at this collection. Some of the members on these boards blows his collection to dust IMO (miasboytoy, VS2, Protoman, chansformers, Guber, soundwaveCA, GMFan101, etc.)
It doesn't even have many G1 figures, most of it's domestic US series, some which are worthless.

I haven't taken an in-depth look at the collection, but I was just guessing 7k, but that's since I don't value much of the Armada/Energon/Cybertron MISB to be worth that much

I think we should have a guessing game on how much it's fair market value is!

The thing I don't like most is how people "conveniently" say it's their "friend's" or "brother's" collection.

Although the link has been removed, this guy was clearing trying to trade part of his collection for other stuff: http://www.hobbyfanatics.com/index.php?/topic/23741-looking-for-trade/page__p__252586__fromsearch__1&#entry252586

same ebay ID.

I've looked at only a few pics so far, nothing that says rare as hell so can't really say it's worth that amt imo. What I did see is a possible ripoff, http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e203/mayonakobusa1225/?action=view&current=mycollectionspics059.jpg

He's displaying the UM and SW Classics 2-pack but you'll see a OP and SS in its place

I thought I saw this on TFW or Ebay a few months ago. Seems someone is in deep and doesn't know how to get out.

this has been on ebay for months.

his TF collection is actually not bad... with all the MISB, doubles/triples. Several Japanese exclusives... galaxyforce convoy sonic wing gift pack, the clear super link 3 pack... the TF along probably worth close to 10k maybe more

he does have a lot of VFs, these are not expensive, and there isnt a big second hand market in north america. and all the other anime pvcs. keep in mind all of the VF and PVC are discontinued, so if some of them are truely MISB, they could go fairly high price on ebay 100-200 before shipping.

I would say total collection worth around 20G, but no way 150. I remeber years ago, someone from Grand Prairie Alberta was selling their entire MISB collection from G1 up to RID ithink, for 50k.

HAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA.....HAAAA>>100,000k, HAA HAAA HAAAAA.... The guy even banned the guy who laughed at him, lol. We's all like to think that our collections were worth that much, but come on, lol. he needs to do some research on prices, so he can actually move that collection.

So, "I have seen someone try to sell their Transformers collection before for a million dollars.and that only 300-400 items!" does that make yours any better? *sigh

Nice collection, but $150,000? C'mon. I don't know what the anime figures are worth, but maybe $15,000-$20,000 at the absolute most. With so many multiples, it almost looked more like TF hoarding instead of collecting. If he sold it in blocks he might be able to move it.

Nothing that rare in there, very few MISB G1s, and VERY few Japanese exclusives, those are the money figs.

I have seen this collection BEFORE......... hmmm I think it was on TFW2005.............

Anyhow, I will admit it looks pretty, but price wise....... I mean heck I talked about this before, most TFs after 1995 ain't worth shit, let alone from the looks of this, a butt ton of loose year 2000 and up figures. Nice stuff, just not worth the tag.

Bet this isn't even his REAL collection

pulsedragon20
10-25-2009, 11:28 PM
don't think it's worth 150k, even with all the doubles and triples and MISB and such...maybe $15,000 if he's really lucky.

Probably better breaking up the collection

i don't know but there are crazy people out there spending 2k-5k on a custom probably just anybody can make. provided of course that you have the time. hopefully some crazy guy goes for this. it would also be a very good laugh.

Buhawi

also I'll block lowballer so if you can't afford it don't try to place a bid it'll just waste your and my time and also place you on my blocked buyer's list for futures sell so please be carefully about this.

i like this part the best. i can't afford the collection nor a 3k custom. i don't want be blocked by anybody especially this particular ebay seller. oh my. being blocked by such an important guy. that would hurt so bad.

Cheers Ian

Pfft...

I know it's a pain in the ass, but just split up the friggin' collection or get a dealer to buy it if you're that desperate for the cash.

Not too many people have $150k lying around to drop on Transformers.

I say the collection is worth $20K TOPS. Probably more in the 10-15K range though.

Cheers!

I'd say his asking price is stupid high in hopes that he gets a "lowball" offer somewhere close to what it's actually worth.
