I swear I overheard the Hasbro guy at TFcon say the next MP released will be something we haven't seen before. I guess Hasbro Canada didn't get the memo.

Anyone know how this differs from the Takara MP?

I hope there is. It makes mine seem less special.

I think the Hasbro version is more cartoon accurate regarding the color schem and the Takara one wear more black.

I really hope we get this here. I would assume they would follow the same type of colour scheme like they did with Starscream, as in G1.

Serious shelfwarming material here.

I'd like one if it's released in Canada. I'm hoping Hasbro releases a Grimlock and that it comes to Canada.

I'm still pissed that starscream wasn't released in Canadian walmarts. Are we actually getting this one or is it a USA only figure again?

This is great news for me. I really hope this dude gets shipped to some stores here I would love to get him. I don't have the Takara version so a more G1-accurate version is more than welcome and preferred!

Colour differences aside, does anyone know of other differences between a Masterpiece Takara and a Masterpiece U.S. release?

I am concerned with plastic replacing metal or a cheaper quality of plastic used etc. Or some sort of "safety" modification for the dimwitted?

Takara was 100% plastic anyways

Just for the MP seekers? Or do you mean more of the MP figures?

Both Hasbro and Takara MP Starscream had a die-cast spine, swingbar and landing gears.

Thank you. That news bodes well for the Skywarp I think.

The spine? What do you mean by that? The entire body was plastic wasn't it? The whole plane was, other than the gear and hardware and such

Is Has/Tak re-hashing all their MP's for North American release?

Guess they've got Thundercracker and a smoke stack-circumcised Ultra Magnus to re-sell, so at this rate we'll see an orange jimmy hat wearing Megatron hit our shelves by 2012 and a soft rubber-toothed Grimmy by 2013!

I don't think it was, I didn't see it anywhere, and I don't recall any sightings from others.

I'm pretty sure Classics Devi came out at Zellers here in Canada. I recall marvelling at the set a couple years ago at my local Zellers, then recently kicking myself for not picking it up just because $45 seemed too expensive.

I don't think we have Classics Devi from the Zellers in BC, I am 100% sure. Maybe you seen it at A3U back when they were in business.
