My ROTF Figure Repaints i've done so far.

Much like last movie I tend to repaint the figures. Afterall a movie figure should look like a movie figure and not so garish, bland and boring. All that molded detail just disappears.

So, I only own a few figures at the moment, but here are some pics.

I really like the Prime and Megatron repaints, I repainted my ROTF Preview Bumblebee and it looks 10x better now. :D

I thought about darker treads but I actually think, moviewise, mine are even still too dark. The concept art i've seen, his treads are silver metal and very sharp.

New repaint update: The Fallen.
I wasn't gonna buy him, mostly because I heard bad things. His feet issues, joints he SHOULD have, no head rotation and such. So I was thinking about passing on him. Then I saw him in stores, unimpressed, but decided to take the challenge.
His feet issue is fixed which now he stands w/o his weight holding him down and I gave him a neck.
Still need to do a bit of cleanup, but mainly he's done.

what type of paints do you use? What do you use for tiny details ? LIke the bronze parts on prime, or head sculpts?

Ravage:
New head/neck mod, sharper claws (hard to notice unless you touch and poke yourself :p ) Paint scheme still work in progress, haven't finalized it yet. Jaw repaired to open/close manually. Tail fixed to have a bit more posability.

The work on the fallen is fantastic! Wow! So much of an egyptian presence to him. Love all the red/yellow energy details.

Ok, well I really hated that they gave the toy not only 3 claws but the fact that they ARE claws annoyed me too. In the movie, he had 3 regular fingers and a thumb. So I decided to use a spare and make him new hands.

Re-working on Devestators head/mouth area. His head is now balljointed and more posable. I also added, with spare Wheelie parts, a lower jaw that can retract in vehicle mode.

Bit more reworking on Devestator. I decided to add Deluxe Rampage as the one hand to attach to Hightower. I haven't begun painting him yet but the connection worked out nicely.

Breakaway - Just his robot mode pics. Still in the works (been too busy to work on him) I still need to find a nice pic of his jet mode to get his camo pattern so I can airbrush it on. I can't find any decent pics.

Dirtboss - Is actually being modelled off the forklift at my brothers store. Doing it for fun but I did run into a snag. where the two halfs disconnect from the main body it's tight and I should have known the paint would peel away. So gonna have to sand them down even if it loosens a bit. Also planning on making his head rotate. Balljoint, probably not, but an easy pin for 360degree will be fine. Also the gas tank is visable on the forklift and Movie 1 Landmines feet are perfect so I *may* take his feet (though I only need one tank) to add to Dirtboss

The only thing I don't like is that from the youtube vids I saw, it looks like a mix of Scrappers shovel with Rampages body (treads not wheels) that attaches to Hightower. Good thing Bluray is out tomorrow so I can see a nice clear pic of WHAT vehicle it actually is.
Then again if it's scrapper then i'm screwed since Hasbro won't make the other 3 constructicons...those jerks.

Quick update instead of creating a whole new thread for it.
Now that I have Buster Prime to take over my Movieverse shelf I decided to start G1ifying the original ROTF Leader Prime. Basically I used nail polish remover carefully to remove the flames, did a few coats of primer and airbrushed the red.
I made his legs a mix of blue and silver but to be honest, it doesn't flow. I'm thinking that maybe I should make his lower legs blue with a few silver highlights to balance it out instead. Also I did notice in vehicle mode that the blue in the front should be painted red. Good thing about taking pics is being able to see what needs to be cleaned up. :)
Any recomendations and feedback welcomed.
I would like to finish him so he can go onto my Prime shelf.
