LOL, That's awesome. Bumblebee superior, Goldbug inferior.

So are those the characters that are going to be in the script reading? I guess I should practice my Powerglide, Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet, Astrotrain, Streetwise, Blades, Groove, First Aid, and possibly Defensor voices.:D

I wonder if Spider-Man might make a cameo.;)

The original working title of this comic was "Goldbug and Powerglide Make a Porno" but I vetoed that down.

And I agree. Both Powered Commander and Spider-man should make an appearance in the script reading. In fact, perhaps Spider-man should be the pilot of Powered Commander. They both have the same colors, after all!

ZOMG! I smell a crossover! I knew it. His missile launchers aren't actually missile launchers, they're web-shooters. And those energon cubes and actually the refill cartridges.

Energon-active Spider-Prime

I'd love to see Powered Commander simply because then you could cast NOT based on how close they sound to a G1 VA (there's gonna be that bias), but on how good the voice fits the new character.

As someone who isn't really a huge G1 cartoon fan, it adds a hurdle for me as I have to go rewatch the cartoon to find out what voices characters have. I don't know what most of those voices sound like offhand, and would be biased to my own take, but the judges will likely not be.

It's like how they had Nightbird last year - nobody had any clue what Nightbird would sound like, so it was an "Anything goes" and there were some awesome auditions.

This is a great comic. I really love the sense of action and movement.

And hooray, Bumblebee is back! (if Optimus can do it....)

The script reading's based off the original, English cartoon, right? No Headmasters, Victory or other Japanese insanity knowledge required?

I'm looking forward to this script reading. Last year's was fun!

That is correct, as per the formula:

70% U.S. G1 cartoon + 10% pop culture + 20% wacky sense of humour
= Script :D

Hey, glad you liked it! You can thank Ninjatron for his incredible art skills, once again surpassing all expectations! :)

In fact, perhaps Spider-man should be the pilot of Powered Commander.

For Transformers morals, I can't have such a cool Transformer reduced to a power suit for a human.

They both have the same colors, after all!
Hmm, you may have a point there... :p

Too late. Clearly, the people have spoken.

Spider-Commander is what must come to pass! Ninjatron commands it.

The comic sets up the script, but there's no guarantee who the characters are for auditions. In the past, 1 or 2 comic characters sometimes appeared in the script.

But you can never go wrong with practice. :)

I'd love to see Powered Commander simply because then you could cast NOT based on how close they sound to a G1 VA (there's gonna be that bias), but on how good the voice fits the new character.

You raise an interesting point. Accuracy to a voice scores you points, but there's alot more to it. A spot on voice will flop without voice inflections, ability ro read, or the audience understanding what you're saying.

We've had several past voices that didn't necessarily sound like the cartoon character, but they legitimately won because they were still so good.

Glad you liked last year's "anything goes" voice. :)
