How many Transformer fans are making a run for the border?

I only live 50 mins away in Kitchener but I'm interested in how many people are actually making the drive up.
(I guess that would include the ones flying in as well)

I'll be up from Columbus, Ohio. 7 hours if all goes as planned.

I've got a dumb question, do the dealers only take Canadian money at the show? Should I exchange all of my US money at the border?

I'd exchange it, makes it easier for everyone.

You guys in the US are lucky that the $CAD money dropped back down to the normal exchange rate - you get about a bonus 17%(as of today) when you exchange your cash.
Here's an exchange rate calculator for anyone who wants to compare.
http://www.tdcommercialbanking.com/tradefinance/rates.jsp

I took advantage and bought my motorcycle down in Philly when the $CAD was higher than the $USD last summer.
Saved over $2000 on just the exchange rate alone (not to mention the killer purchase price)and the ride home was most satisfying.

This is why you drive a fuel economic vehicle. Like my Honda Fit. Last time I drove to Toronto, I got 40 mpg. No my car is NOT a hybrid.

all this hybrid crap is just that, crap. There are very good cars out there with great gas mileage. a guy I know has a 96 honda civic two door hatchback. manual transmission base model. he gets 42 mpg!!!!

Is it true that manual cars get better gas mileage than automatics? Why is that?

Yes, although with modern technology its less apparent. I'm pretty sure it has to do with a human knowing when to shift more easily than the automatic transmission, which as a result consumes fuel less efficiently.

And maybe there's extra weight for an automatic transmission compared to a manual as well. That would further impact mileage.
