How Should I customize my Movie ss?

i want to customize my deep space starscream (well all i want to do is give him hands)but i don't know a thing about customizing figures i did a few repaints before(but they sucked)but how do i give a movie ss hands?what should i use for them?how do i attatch them?please tell me.

Hmm...sorry Brawl, I'm not sure. I don't have the figure, so I don't know what to suggest, but generally you have to find some appropriate sized hands, see if you can remove or cut off the original hands, and then find a way to attach the new hands, using something like mighty putty or something that will fill in the area of attachment as needed.

Alternatively you could consider using magnets if you want to be able to switch from hands to turrets, or whatever it is he has currently.

I should say I've never done any customizing, but I try and read and follow as many customizing threads (on tfw2005.com and here) as I can to try and build up some skills for one day when I hopefully do my own customs.

A lot of people have used Neo Shifters arms, or just the hands plugged into the tip of the cannons. I used the legs of movie Jazz, and heavily modified it.

I haven't taken any yet, but I could do some webcam pics later tonight and try to have them up for tomorrow for ya.

I put the claws on my first version. easy mod. Neo shifters are becoming extinct. You might be able to find them in Kmart or walmart in clearance, but from what I understand, they are no longer being made.

Later, I did a 2nd Starscream as a commission, the guy wanted "hands" so these are gundam hands and one of the movie (black escalade) arms or legs for forearms (can't remember)

i saw these on tfw2005 and i really liked them i might do the neo shifter kind i don't know.but i see them everywhere at zellers and wal-mart they always have a bunch.

I saw on the TFwiki that movie Swindle/Camshaft's hands apparently fit quite well into Starscream's cannons, but what you've done with the neo shifters claws looks amazing! I'll have to try that myself with my DSS, if I can find some decently priced neo shifters to tear apart, that is.

not too long ago someone on this site actually fused a metal washer to the center/front of ss's gattling guns/arms then attached robot replica hands with magnets.it couldnt fire missiles anymore but it looked damn good!!
