Hmmm,

Not too sure about those two...

Neither of them really look like themselves. Wheeljack looks too burly (is that a new beard he's sporting) and the I'm not sure about the "afro" and glasses look for Perceptor.

i kinda like wheeljack.he reminds me alot of animated constructicon "mix".all he would be missing is a pair of shoulder launchers.from perceptor i get a animated "oilslick" kinda vibe.not sure if i want him.:confused:

Yeah, no one can ever accuse this guy for not having a vested interest in the fiction, that's for sure.

Looking at his Animated collection... man, it must be one of the coolest feelings in the world to not only reinvent established characters on an official level, but to then also see your work translated into fully functional 3-dimensional toys specifically built from your drawings & designs. I can't imagine what kind of rush that would be.

These look awesome. I want to see their altmodes, though, especially Perceptor's.
Someone over @ TFW posted a new page from the comic in which we these characters appear for the first time - which is probably why Wyatt decided to release official images since the cat was already out of the bag - and it looks like Perceptor is still a microscope since there's a panel where Wheeljack is looking through his alt mode lense.

That's a good question. Jetfire/storm are the only figures from this line that I shake my head at. Eveything else (so far) has been gold.

That most certainly won't happen for Wheeljack, as Chris Latta, the VA for Starscream and Wheeljack in G1, has long since been dead. Maybe Tom Kenny, Corey Burton, or David Kay will voice him?

I was thinking a DeLorean would suit his character because he's a mad scientist, who probably would invent a way to make his alt mode into a time machine if he ever thought of it. Or he'd blow himself up trying.
