As this is a low budget prototype. I am going to reserve judgment until I see a finished piece. It could be good and it would make MP Magnus HUGE!!!! Or it could be an ugly hunk of expensive plastic.
(I wonder if it will fit an Alternator???)

i still prefer the trailers done by both "marksprojects" and the late "tfmaster"for accuracy and fit and finish and articulation.

I hope this turns out looking good. Something about the pics just doesn not look right, and I'm not totally sure what it is.

It looks good in trailer mode! But it looks very ugly when it is on the robot. It made the Masterpiece cheap looking! I think some parts are too big, some are too small. In comparison for this and City Commander Trailer from that photo, I think City Commander Trailer is much more preferable for robot mode.

Why don't you just update the news instead of moving the thread and pretend this information doesn't exist?

We can't update TFW's news, It can be submitted as news to the site, but we personally cannot edit it. At this site we're trying to keep similar topics together so there are not hundreds of the same thing. This is big info tho, and I'll submit it to TFW.

If they make a Powered Convoy version of this, I might just have to shell out the cash for it, and MP-01.

Agreed. It looks more like an UM costume than the actual character imo. I appreciate the effort by the designer, but I think the overly G1 design aesthetic hurts it more than helps it.

I'd love to see what the City Commander team could come up with.

In all fairness, that's what the G1 toy was all about too... With the proper colors, I'm sure it will look decent or at least as good as Mark's version.

True enough, but that's exactly why I never liked the G1 toy either. Sticking a half transformed white Prime inside a flip-up trailer and throwing on an oversized helmut never did it for me since the end result looked awkwardly clunky and very out of proportion. For G1 enthusiasts who still want their figures to look as G1 as possible (IE: like Henkei paint schemes), I totally understand why they'd be clammering for this and think the designer did a great job on that level. For me, however, I'd like to see something a little more streamlined and properly proportioned ala the City Commander set. Just a personal preference is all.

That said, even for as much as I love the CC set, the only figure that I personally think has come close to properly showcasing UM the way he originally appeared in the show & comics was the G1 Titanium. I'd kill to have a bigger and slightly modified version based off that "no white Prime" template. :)
