I like this Soundwave. Certainly looks better and more interesting than the first 2 Protoform toys we got for the first movie or the similar (but greatly inferior) Voyager Megatron.

I always thought Animated Soundwave was terrible, but now I think Revenge of the Fallen toy Soundwave is even more terrible. He looks more like a bird than a robot.

I think he looks pretty cool...

I mean the head is pure Soundwave, unlike most of the movie designs that came come out based on G1 characters.

Maybe this is one of the preview figures like last time?

edit: I'm assuming this is a protoform, considering that satellite mode doesn't look like any satellite I've seen pictures of. Hopefully Soundwave gets an earth mode. Personally, while I loved the TFTM aesthetic, I didn't care much for the protoforms.

I'm starting to think that toy might be a triplechanger since the missile location doesn't make any sense in robot mode or the Vector Prime-ish alt mode. There must me a 3rd satellite mode or something, those panels look too much like solar panels.

His head looks pretty good, but I'm hoping they'll do something about that colour scheme. Grey just isn't Soundwave's colour - it makes him look too much like Megatron. Soundblaster black for the grey parts would be better, or maybe the same shade of metallic silver as Deep Space Starscream, keeping the blue details, of course! Meh, there's always my trusty nail polish if I don't like my future toy's colour scheme.

I'm wondering where he'll store any "cassette" characters in that mode, like Movie Laserbeak or Ravage? Maybe it's more apparent in his alt mode.

I still wish he, not Jetfire, was the SR-71, but the satellite's not that bad. I'm still making him a B2 Stealth Bomber in my fanfics, regardless :p .

Face looks pretty good, but I agree his toy doesn't really do him justice with the colours and such, that grey is too blah, but the blue is nice. I agree that this looks like a protoform or cybertron version, we'll just have to see where this leads.

I'm not digging this figure from what I can see. Regardless of the character, I'm not a fan of Transformers with wings that aren't either Unicron or a beast wars figure.

This and Devastator were the two TF2 figures I was somewhat looking forward to, but between this (this isn't a robot, it's just a pile of kibble with arms and legs attached) and the non-transforming Devastator I think I'm going to skip the TF2 line just like I did for the TF1 line.

EDIT: Although, come to think of it, with a bit of paint this guy might make a decent Pathfinder. At least then it'll make sense that she's wearing a dress.
