Classic's Universe 2.0 Wheeljack

Classics Wheeljack WIP, the TFTM Big Daddy head was a perfect fit for this mold, and he can make for a really doable Wheeljack. I was originally going to use colored electrical tape for the decals, but, not sure how well that'll work, so, may have to go back to painting. We'll see. I thought I was being pretty original with this guy, but, turns out I wasn't the first with this idea, or the head swap..Ah well. This is also the first repaint I've ever done that WASN"T commissioned, and I'll be putting him up for sale once he is completed.

thats an awesome idea!!!i just may have to copy you!:D is there issues with the head fitting when you transform him now?did you have to alter the head to fit?btw,if you're pretty good with a exacto knife i can send you some green vinyl to mess with free of charge,just pm me.:) makes me wonder if theres a way to graft on a body kit kinda like the cliffjumper upgrade.:D

I just had to change the ball joint neck part, and widen the neck hole besides that, it works perfectly, you just turn the head around before you transform him, there is a guy on the Allspark who illustrates it better.

Thanks, yeah I'm kinda excited about this one, and after that, I just got a complete set of custom heads from Valksfan and next I'll be moving on to the alt Stunticons, Soundwave, and Ironhide etc..Can't wait for those too!

First, a REALLY big thanks to Chans Formers on Cybertron.ca for being so great and introducing me to working with Vinyl! What a difference it makes in doing lines and decals etc. Eternally grateful, and if I can do anything for you, just let me know!
2nd thanks and/or acknowledgement goes to Wheel_Jack on Sector7.org, I found while googling, his sticker lay out he made for his Energon Wheeljack, and I was then able to take his apart, match high resolution versions of the various logos etc to then work with my Classics Wheeljack, and I think he now looks spiffy!
The car/alt mode is just about done. I think I still want to add something to the blank space above the back wheel..More green perhaps. And I just need to add some dark grey to the bot mode, and he'll be done. Oh, not shown yet, but, the missle launchers from TFTM07 works/fits PERFECTLY for this mold too, so, Wheeljack will also have his shoulder rocket. Only decision now is, 1, like the cartoon, or 2 of them like the toy had...

Thanks:) For the first time in I don't even know how long, I'm excited by doing one of these again. The painting part was no problem, it just was getting details and decals to look nice enough that always bugged me (ie: the 2 Alt Reflectors and Astrotrain I had to do) but yeah, I spent all day designing up the stickers and putting them on..It was almost like Gen-1 love fun again..

Here's the bot mode. I used an old cell phone antenna as the missle launcher and used a Bumblebee 07 Movie missle launcher for the actual shoulder launcher part. I still need to put the WHL-JAK NY license plate on him too. I'm also still debating to make his feet white, like the toy was, or leave black, and, if I want to make his upper thighs and forearms a dark grey like he was in the cartoon, or leave it as is..and then there is still the blue patched on his thighs..Leave them blue, or, turn them red, or green..What do you all think?
