animated clone army

im really starting to like the activators ss mold!!these pics are just to show how much fun you can have mixing up colors a bit.(that and they're pretty easy to do:D )i'll post alternate mode pics as soon as the clear fully hardens.all have been prepped with dishsoap and a toothbrush,then a combination of automotive,industrial and krylon paints was used.finally came the stripes from vinyl.the longest/most tedious part so far would be hand cutting the tiny decepticon symbols on the wings.it doesnt stop here though,theres still 5 more ss i have waiting for "colors".(im so happy tru had the activators sale:D )

I'll have to pick up a bunch of these myself next time there's an Activators sale. They'd be perfect for my fan Seeklet trio: Starburst, Sidewinder and Whirlwind.

How did you do that?! I would love to customize some of my TFA's, but I don't know how to make it, so that the paint doesn't chip when transforming.make sure its cleaned and dried first.then for ball joints i like to use red "scothbright" pads to sand down the thickness a bit.(easiest way to tell is when the plastic goes dull,sand some more.)doing so helps the paint stick and gives you more clearance for the extra thickness you'll be adding in paint.:)

BADASS. Not much else needs to be said. Oh, actually, I have a small bit of CC. I would paint the fingers of them to match the p[rimary colour. The blue realy only works with TC and SS. I would also paint Skywarp's arms purple.

i would but like the rest of my customs,the first ones are always destined for my personal collection.anything after that is just gravy!:D (that and i dont like ebay or paypal,way too many fees and now that the "irs" wants a cut too on top of the taxes you already paid for the donor figures,its just not worth it to do ebay unless you're selling as good as frenzy/rumble to make it worth the headaches.)
