See, I *would* be on board with repaints if they ever made any sense to the series. It's not that I hate repaints out of principle - I just hate that 9.9 times out 10 they have zero relvance to anything. If Megatron got all gothed out like that for an episode, then fair enough, that redeco carries some validity. If anyone from the Movie got all jacked up on Allspark energy and changed their colors for whatever reason, then again, go to town with the repaints. But these completely random and equally make-no-sense repaints drive me crazy. I always get scared that Hasbro looks at the what are surely to be shitty sales of these things and then uses those poor sales as an excuse not to invest in more new molds of this or that size class.

Obviously I, and most others, have accepted that Cliffjumper will always be a repaint of Bumblebee, that Skywarp & Thundercracker will also be a repaint of Starscream, etc. regardless if we *like* it or not... it's just all these damned "Marloboro Man Ultra Magnus" or "Camp Fire Boyscout Lockdown" or "I Listen To AFI Megatron" kind of things that will never make any sense to me, especailly when we see time & again how much shelf warming they always end up doing.
